Central Park
Central Park is an urban park located in Manhattan. It is the most visited city park in all of America, with around 40 million visitors every year. The park covers an area of 843 acres, with most of it being open green space. However, there are also roads that people can drive or bike through the park on. It is almost twice the size of Vatican City.
The park offers plenty to do for people of all interests and ages. Tourists and residents alike enjoy the 7+ miles of walking tracks, bike lanes, playgrounds, blading rinks, ponds for ice skating, and so much more.

Grand Central Station

The building itself is absolutely stunning. It dominates the midtown landscape, with its high ceilings and large windows facing the streets at street level. The inside of the station has a giant main waiting room, so large that it features a gigantic astronomical mural on the ceiling.

Standing at 1,454 feet tall, the empire state building is one of the most iconic buildings in American history. The Empire State Building has long been a fixture of the New York skyline.

Martin Luther King Jr. was an American civil rights activist who is considered the father of American civil rights for blacks. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and his legacy lives on through the American civil rights movement.
Black Lives Matter is a current American civil rights activist movement that started after a police officer shot and killed American teen Mike Brown. The movement gained worldwide attention when video footage showed George Floyd, a black man, being unjustly killed by Derek Chauvin, a white police officer.

People in the United States have the right to keep and bear arms. In fact, the 2nd amendment to the US constitution clearly states that it is a God-given right to bear arms.
The country is known for its wide availability of weaponry. The USA has more gun owners than any other country by far, with about 120 guns per 100 people so many people have more than one gun.
Some people love this, while others find it terrifying. America is hugely divided on gun control. Some people want more freedoms when it comes to buying and owning firearms, others wish to see regulation changed.

With so many guns in the US, mass shootings are much more common than in other parts of the world.
The U.S. has the highest number of mass shootings in the world—mass shooting being defined as four or more people killed by gunfire, excluding gang killings and terrorist attacks.
The majority of mass shooting victims are generally Americans.
Mass shootings in the United States often spur calls for new gun control legislation with very little progress ever actually made.
Murders
Murder in America is an issue that receives much attention in the media. The United States Bureau of Justice Statistics began collecting data on murder in 1958, and has since published a variety of reports, including annual firearm and non-firearm specific counts of murder nationwide.
The gun problem is partly to blame for the high murder rate as well as a host of other societal problems from mental health, inequality, terrorism, and gang violence.
9-11
The terrorist attacks of 9-11 are still remembered today and will continue to have long-lasting effects on the psyche of the United States population.
On September 11th, 2001 four suicide attacks were performed by al-Qaeda against the United States in New York City and Washington D.C. The attacks resulted in the collapse of The World Trade Center with nearly 3,000 deaths (of which 2,753 were in New York City).

War of Independence
After signing the Declaration of Independence in 1776, war broke out between the Colonies and Great Britain. It was not until June 26, 1783, though, that the Treaty of Paris was signed and the country had officially won its war for independence.
American Civil War
The American Civil War was fought from 1861 to 1865 between the United States, also known as the Union, and a group of southern states which organized themselves as a brand-new country, the Confederate States of America, or “the Confederacy”.
The Civil War was a result of years of tensions between the southern and northern states in the United States of America. Many factors played a part in causing the war, but slavery was certainly one of the main reasons for it.
World War I
The United States was not heavily involved in World War I, but did supply other countries involved with the war. However, on April 2, 1917 Woodrow Wilson, America’s 28th president, declared war against Germany and the other Central Powers.
World War II
America’s main involvement in World War II was through the Allies and the Tripartite Pact. The Tripartite Pact, signed by Germany, Japan, and Italy respectively, was a treaty of mutual protection between the three countries to last ten years. However, the United States did not join this group.
The country’s main involvement in World War II was through the Allies, along with Britain, France, Russia, Poland, and others.
Pearl Harbor
On December 7th, 1941 America experienced its bloodiest day on home soil until the 9-11 attacks in 2001. Pearl Harbor, in Hawaii, was the site where Japan launched a sneak attack on the United States killing thousands of Americans. It was the main reason for America joining WW2.

The war between North Korea and South Korea broke out June 25, 1950. Fearing that the country would take over all of Korea, the United States sent troops to aid South Korea.
Vietnam War
The Vietnam War was a conflict between North Vietnam and South Vietnam. The United States was involved in the war as they believed that the South Vietnamese government would not be able to hold up on its own.
The War ended on April 30, 1975 when North Vietnam took over South Vietnam.

But, for a place that just serves burgers, fries and milkshakes they sure know how to create a memorable experience. It is for sure worth trying at least once so you can see for yourself.

The Alamo is a fortress located in present-day San Antonio, Texas. The Alamo is best known as the site of The Battle of The Alamo, a conflict between The Mexican Army and The Texian Army during The Texas Revolution. The battle was fought from February 23 to March 6, 1836.
The Battle of The Alamo resulted in The Mexican Army killing all Texian defenders and The Alamo itself being burnt to the ground. The Battle of The Alamo is considered an important “symbolic victory” for The Texians even thought they lost.
